Infosys President Ravi Kumar S Resigns

IT services giant Infosys on Tuesday announced it’s chief executive Ravi Kumar S has resigned from his position. The company did not provide any reason for the resignation that comes just days before of its earnings for the second quarter announcement.

He was the head of the service lines and specialising in digital sales in the consulting technology, infrastructure engineering, as well as process and infrastructure verticals. Beginning his career working as nuclear scientist with He was named its president in the year 2016.

In 2017 Kumar was appointed the COO’s Deputy and was widely believed to become the company’s COO however, Infosys decided to do remove the position of COO following the resignation of the incumbent UB Pravin Rao. According to the annual 2021-22 report from Infosys, Kumar was the third highest-paid senior executive at the company following the CEO Salil Parekh and former COO UB Pravin Rao.

Shares of Infosys which are set expected to announce its earnings for the second quarter today, October 13 closed 2.65 percent less at 1,423.90 each in the BSE. The Infosys board of directors during its board meeting the 13th of October will also be deciding on buying back shares.
