Sikkim CM diagnosed as having typhoid

(PTI) Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang said on Saturday that he was diagnosed with Typhoid.

Tamang was recovering at his residence , and medical professionals from the STNM Hospital was monitoring his condition, a top official from the party of Sikkim Krantikari Morcha (SKM) told.

“I would like to inform all my dear people of Sikkim that I have been diagnosed with typhoid,” the chief minister announced via a social media posting.

Tamang told reporters that he was eager to be a an integral part of Indra Jatra celebrations however, he was unable to participate due to his health conditions.

He also canceled his trip in Rabong located in South Sikkim to attend the Pang Lhabsol celebrations and the public gathering scheduled for Sunday.
