(PTI) Argentine director Santiago Mitre’s highly acclaimed movie “Argentina, 1985” will be accessible for Prime Video subscribers globally from October 21, as the streaming platform announced Wednesday.
The Spanish political thriller in Spanish was released this Friday in the official Competition section of the ongoing Venice International Film Festival.

“Argentina, 1985” is an adaptation of the true tale of Julio Strassera, Luis Moreno Ocampo and their youthful legal team of heroes in their battle of David-versus-Goliath and how, constantly under threat they fought to bring charges against the most bloody dictatorship in Latin America regardless of odds and during a race to the end of the clock to ensure justice for those who suffered under the Military Junta.
The film’s title is “The Secret in Their Eyes” with Ricardo Darin and Peter Lanzani of “Casi Angeles” fame.
Mitre has written the screenplay together with Mariano Llinas.
The film’s 140 minutes of running time was created by Axel Kuschevatzky, Federico Posternak, Agustina Llambi-Campbell, Darin, Mitre, Santiago Carabante, Chino Darin, and Victoria Alonso.
