AAP government has ignored the suggestions of an expert panel regarding excise policy in order to gain an unfair advantage Pb polls: BJP

(PTI) The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Wednesday claimed that the Delhi government did not heed the recommendations from an expert panel in order to improve the liquor industry in the capital in order to “gain unfair advantage” in the Punjab elections.

At a press event in Delhi, BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra claimed that the Delhi government has handed over the Wholesale liquor to private firms despite the expert panel’s recommendation against it.

He also stated that the city’s government permitted ‘cartelisation’ in the liquor industry by granting several retail licensing to large businesses.

Patra claimed that the AAP is currently trying to evade questions from the BJP regarding the misapplication of the excise law.
