2 women die in road accident in Kerala

(PTI) Two women died early on Saturday morning when an lorry carrying tankers lost control and crashed into an auto-rickshaw that they were riding in Angamaly close to here.


Police reported that Perumbavoor residents Tresyama (69) as well as Beena (49) died when a tanker lorry which was designed to carry the sewage, lost its control and struck the autorickshaw in the rear.

“The driver of the autorickshaw has been admitted to a nearby hospital with minor injuries,” police reported.

The women killed were employed of a shop selling textiles in Angamaly police stated they added that an inquest was in progress.
